Hi everyone,

Well it’s a very sad day indeed, as I say on my home page I live in an ordinary home behind some millionaires who live on the beach front. Now, a new neighbour to me ( they moved in 5 months ago)who lives on the beach but down one property had six magnificent trees on the property line. This man owns a truck and earth moving equipment. On the long weekend he got his friends or relatives around and pulled over 5 trees using his truck then he used his back hoe to push over the last lilly pilly. I asked him if he had council permission and told him that I was distressed by what he was doing but he laughed and kept going. Now, I look directly into his yard and pool. I can also see 5 other back yards that I had not  been able to see before. What is it about some people and trees? Why did this man purchase beach side property and want an English garden? What possesses some people to just defy the rules that others live by?

Well, the damage is done the trees are gone and I am not on good terms with him as a neighbour. At no time did he consider the effect that removing the trees would have on those around him. I have purchased 4 lilli Pilli’s to go along my side fence but it will be years before they are grown. I will need to semi-enclose my back veranda for some privacy now ( with counsel permission).

 All I can say is that I didn’t win this  encounter with Goliath but then I have not vandalised the earth as this person has. I wonder if there is a Karma reaction to murdering trees so they dont drop leaves in your pool?
